Beaulieu Village Fete

The Beaulieu Village Fête, organised by the Foundation, took place on Saturday, 19th July. We were delighted that this year's fête was opened by BBC South presenter Ed Sault.
This traditional annual village fete takes place in the stunning grounds of Palace House, Beaulieu, at the kind invitation of Lord and Lady Montagu. It is the highlight of our fundraising calendar and raised a record-breaking total of £20,599. Our thanks go to the Fete Committee and all the volunteers whose enthusiasm, dedication and hard work made this success possible.

Beaulieu Village Fete
We held our traditional village fete in the Palace House gardens at Beaulieu on Saturday 20th July..The fete was opened by BBC presenter Jon Cuthill who helped entertain over 1500 visitors during the course of the day. This year's theme was celebrating 101 years of Disney and many children (and adults!) came dressed as their favourite character.
It was a busy day with our famous sizzling BBQ, bargains on the Bric a Brac stall, a Bottles Stall, Kids Zone, Bouncy Castle, great prizes on the Tombola, Pimms and Prosecco and many more activities. The fete raised over £21,000 for the Foundation.

Nigel Molesworth's Cynical Tendency
Theatre lovers in the New Forest enjoyed the delights of local author Ian Strathcarron’s hilarious new play Nigel Molesworth’s Cynical Tendency at the Beaulieu Village Hall this week.
A political satire set in the near future and just after an inconclusive general election, the play features the schoolboy character Nigel Molesworth and his schoolmates, all grown up and now heads of the main political parties. Also featured are the leaders of the three Nationalist parties and King Charles III.
The result of the election is chaotic and any the political players could possibly become Prime Minister — but only with Nigel’s MPs behind them. Nigel on the other hand has other ideas.
The play featured New Forest actors and raised over £5,000 for the Beaulieu Common Good Trust.
Author Ian Strathcarron said: “The company were brilliant and performed to the highest level. The audience were really appreciative, and I’d like to thank both the company and the audiences for making this such a success”.
