The Beaulieu Common Good Foundation was registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 1 December 2023 (reg no. 1206001).
The object of the Foundation is to make donations and grants - normally of up to £500 - to any charity, organisation or individual for the public benefit directed wholly or mainly to the Parish of Beaulieu and its immediate vicinity.
The Foundation's aims include, but is not restricted to, the alleviation of hardship and disadvantage together with the support of education, amateur sport, creative arts, religion, cultural enhancement and community development.
The Foundation has taken over this charitable activity from the Beaulieu Common Good Trust. It has also taken over responsibility for the annual Beaulieu Village Fete. Since 1999 the combined charitable donations and grants paid by the Trust and Fete Committee amounted to £280,000, with over £14,000 being paid in 2023 to 21 local good causes.
The Foundation is managed by the trustees under the provisions of its Constitution and Policies and is continuing, and building on, the work of the Trust and Fete Committee.
